Riverman Gun Works opened its doors in 2009 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho as a small retail shop specializing in police department buy backs. The small 400 square foot store began to slowly build its clientele while at the same time, the owner decided to go back to his law enforcement roots and began building MP5 clones.

​The Riverman RM9 was our first build. The response to this build and its performance encouraged us to start building custom AR’s in both the AR-15 and AR-10 platform. The Riverman Sinner are some of the best performing AR builds in the industry, with our 16” Sinner-15 shooting a ½” group at 100 yards consistently and the Sinner-10 shooting a 1 ½” group at 300 yards. Both of these builds utilized billet cut uppers and lowers and precision barrels.

In 2012 we set out to build a truly modular rifle platform that was extremely accurate, compact and portable, yet highly capable in different environments and situations. The Riverman Modular Breakdown Rifle™ (MBR™) was born. Utilizing the familiar AR platform we created a breakdown, multi-caliber, bolt action precision rifle system.

While we no longer manufacture production rifles, we offer complete gunsmith services including repair, restoration, customization as well as professionally built precision rifles. We have added partners like Riverman Parts and Idaho Suppressor Works to help both fine tune our products and offer high quality accessories for our rifles.

With origins in law enforcement and military, we understand the need for a product that can meet the demanding needs of the serious shooter and we strive to ensure 100% satisfaction with every product and service.

In 2020 Rick and Yvonne decided to retire, Kevin and Melissa took over Riverman to take it to the next level. With expanded product lines, and additional experienced crew, Riverman Gun Works has taken the next step into precision rifle machining, manufacturing and assembly.
